Who We Are
HobbyistPro is a sole-proprietor business operated by Nick in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We buy trading card collections and bulk (Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh) from individuals across Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use this website or contact us for a quote.

What Information We Collect
When you submit a quote request, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address and/or phone number
- Your city and province (to determine local pickup vs. shipping)
- Photos you upload of your cards
- Any notes or descriptions you include in the form
We do not collect payment information on this website. Payment is handled via Interac e-Transfer directly with you.
We use Vercel Web Analytics for basic site traffic data. This service does not use cookies and does not track individuals across sites. No personal information is shared with the analytics provider.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Evaluate the cards you're selling and prepare a quote
- Contact you to discuss the offer and arrange a transaction
- Coordinate shipping or local meetup logistics
We do not sell your information, share it with third parties for marketing purposes, or add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
Form Submission Service
Quote request forms are processed through Web3Forms (web3forms.com), a third-party form backend. When you submit the form, your submission (including photos) is transmitted to Web3Forms' servers and forwarded to our email address. Web3Forms does not store submissions permanently — data is relayed to us and then discarded on their end. You can review Web3Forms' privacy policy at web3forms.com/privacy.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain your quote request information (name, contact, photos) for as long as needed to complete or decline the transaction, and for a reasonable period afterward in case of disputes or follow-up questions — typically no longer than 12 months. If you would like us to delete your information, contact us and we will do so promptly.
Your Rights (PIPEDA)
Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request access to your personal information
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (subject to any legal retention requirements)
- Withdraw consent at any time (with the understanding that this may mean we cannot complete a transaction)

Cookies
This website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. The analytics tool we use (Vercel Web Analytics) is cookieless. No cookie consent banner is required.
Security
All data transmitted through this site uses HTTPS encryption. We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information, but no internet transmission is 100% secure. If you have concerns about transmitting sensitive information, you can email us directly instead of using the form.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted information through this site, please contact us and we will delete it.
